Clothesline Content is a collective of broadcast professionals; producers, DOPs, editors, colour graders and graphic designers who have all created content for the biggest shows on Australian TV.

We use creativity, collaboration, and strong coffee to create purposeful video content to bring your ideas to life and connect with your audience.

Whether it’s a large scale multi-camera broadcast productions, studio or remote location, producing branded content, television or online, documentary, corporate videos, social media, events, radio or a producing a podcast, Clothesline can help.

In April 2020, SBS aired The Story of the Road, a Clothesline original documentary about the world’s longest war memorial, and the diggers that built it; Australia’s Great Ocean Road.

JACQUELINE TONKS |FOUNDER | PRODUCER | DIRECTOR

Clothesline is led by producer Jacqueline Tonks. Jac started her career at ABC’s award-winning Natural History documentary department, and has spent more than 15 years as a freelance writer, director and producer for a range of content across SBS, ABC, Network Ten, Nine, the Seven Network, and Foxtel.

In 2020 Jac co-wrote, produced and directed The Story of the Road, a documentary for SBS, about the WWII diggers that built Victoria’s Great Ocean Road by hand. In 2021, Jac was the Executive Producer of Australian True Crime Podcast with Meshel Laurie and Emily Webb with over 50 million downloads to date and listed as Apple’s No.1 Australian True Crime podcast. 

Other projects include Network Ten’s nightly news and current affairs program The Project, where Jac wrote, produced, and directed feature stories with notable reports including Forced Adoption with Jennifer Byrne, and Saving the Tasmanian Tarkine with Bob Brown. In 2011, Jac won the best media broadcast story for her health report on Juvenile diabetes. 

In 2013, Jac joined the Masterchef Australia juggernaut, the show winning six AACTA awards over five years as Senior Story Producer.

Other credits include the ABC documentary series Magda’s Big Health Check, Unemployables, feature-length documentary Night, True Story with Hamish & Andy, Project Runway and Spicks & Specks.
